Meeting log two - the progress we are making
We decided to meet up quite soon after the summer holidays and we discussed the planning we had done over summer - this includes storyboards, first draft film posters and first draft magazine covers. We looked at the work each other had done and discussed the ideas with each other, everyone had similar ideas about what we want our trailer to be like - e.g. scary with eerie music. Everyone was nearly at the same point in planning and we discussed our roles further to make sure everyone was happy with them and knew exactly what they were doing. I am the director so i will be making sure the actress is standing in the right place and making sure the crew are all positioned properly. I will also be controlling how the film will look and what everyone will look like and turning the script into a sequence of shots. They are some of the most important jobs i will be undertaking as well as other jobs. When me and my group were discussing the trailer we all had the basic story line and we all agreed how the story line should go, we also have ideas for original images in our heads after our discussion. We all decided we want the trailer to be mainly set in a wooded area when it is dark to give the trailer an automatic scary feel. We want a girl to be walking a dog and to walk into the woods and there will be a man following her taking pictures. We also discussed an actress for the film and decided Sally's sister would be good for the role as she is younger than us and has innocence, and is also easy accessible. Over some i also done some further research on jobs of a director so i got more of a sense of exactly what my role is in my filing process.
