We were going to start with an esatblishing shot on a surburban street, with a row of houses, giving the effect the girl is just a normal girl with a normal life. We were going to have the lighting like a bright day, so it juxtaposed what is about to happen, this could give the audience a clue what is going to happen later on. It would then cut to a scene of the girl locking the door, to suggest she has locked herself away from life as she know's it. When this is happening there would be birds tweeting in the background, to re-enforce the idea of it being a normal surburban street.
As a group we all liked the camera flash idea so there would then be a camera flash which would lead the trailer to a black background, with the production logo on it. When this is happening you would start the hear the humming of the girl, this would add tension to the trailer over time, but at first would seem quite scary.
There would then be a wide shot of the girl walking through a field and opening the gate she is about to walk through, this would help the audience know where she is meant to be, there would then be a close up of the gate closing, so it shows she has gone past the innocence now. Whilst this is happening it would still be daylight, so it doesn't get scary straight away. The humming would be continuing in this scene, along with the sound of an old gate closing.
After that there would be a high angle shot of a girl walking through the woods, this shows someone has power over the girl, this shows the audience that someone is going to be introduced who has power over the girl. At this time the girl would be walking through the woods, so therefore there wouldn't be much light. The humming would be bridged in this bit of the trailer, and we were considering the idea of some light piano music in the background.
There would then be a long shot of the girl walking through the woods, but it would be behind her so you can't see her face, this would build tension as you don't know who's behind her. Whilst this was happening it would be getting darker, so it's getting scarier. The humming then continue, with the light piano music playing over the top of it.
After that there would be a long shot behind the girl, but it would also be a point of view shot. This would show the audience someone is definitly following her and would intrege them to find out who it was. We were also going to put a camera view finder on this shot, so it seems like someone is taking pictures of the girl. We'd have heavy breathing when the long shot is happening, which would stop and you would hear a camera clicking. The camera click would take you to the next shot, which would be a magazine quote about the film. Whilst this is happening the humming would fade out and the piano music would stop, then the trailer would end.
This is the story board:
These are the singular shots:
