This is my second draft of a poster, i decided to focus of my positioning this time so everything doesn't look out of place. I think i was successful in this except with my tag line, i am not sure about the positioning of my tag line as i think it looks a bit out of place on the right hand side. I also think i could have included a release date and a review of the film, and to do this i would have to look at repositioning my picture or making it a bit smaller.
Firstly, i started off with my film name, which is 'Click', i called it this because it is short and simple and it gives off a clue to what the film is about. I decided to put the title of the film under the poster so when people look at the large image their eyes go down to the poster. I am thinking about liquifing the title and making it either red, white or black. This will give the effect that the film is a horror/thriller, and that is what we want.
I then placed the image in the centre of the poster because it will be the most obvious and eye catching thing on the page, i want my image to show the girl's innocence, so i am thinking about having a long shot so you can see what she is wearing and she can pose innocently. I am also considering having the picture cover the whole page, so then it will be very noticeable and the writing on the page can be contrasting colours to the background (e.g black and white).
I then placed my tag line to the side of the picture, i am not sure on a tag line but i am thinking about 'was he only being friendly?', i think this would be a good tag line because it makes the audience think and also intrigues them about what is going to happen in the film. I think the tag line will either be in red, white or black to stick with the colour scheme i want, and i want the font to be in italics and maybe bold so it is noticeable.
I put my billing block at the bottom of the page, this is because i don't really want it to be noticeable, i think i will also have it small and in a simple font. This means when people look at the poster the billing block will not really be noticed. Billing blocks have increased over the years due to the technology being introduced, this means the billing block will be longer and is important, but considering this it is not the most important thing on the page to viewers.
I put my actors/actress' names at the top of the poster, this is because although they are not the main part of the poster, they could still attract people to see the film so they need to be
noticeable. I think i might only have an actress on my further posters but i am not sure so i put both in this time, if i only had an actress' name it would be in the centre instead of on the left. This would be in the same font as the tag line as i think it would look too complicated if they were different, so this would be italic and maybe bold too.
